Kirkham Hot Springs

Whenever someone says they haven't been to a hot springs before, this is probably where you take them first. Access to the springs is super easy (only a small hill to walk down), the water is always an amazing temperature, and the soaking is second to none. There are waterfalls of hot spring water to stand under for god's sake! There are several pools to choose from, and come late fall even more appear before the water gets too high in the spring.

That being said, the hot springs is located next to a summer opened campground and the number of visitors to this spring is higher than ever, so try to get there early or just take it all in and enjoy the other people.

Nudity Potential At Kirkham: In plain view of highway. And maybe a nunnery.

Personal Notes

Time it right (early mornings, etc.), don't go on long weekends, and you can have an amazing personal soak that other states only wished they had.

Kirkham Hot Springs is super easy to find and get to. Head to Lowman, ID and at the 'T' in Lowman, head North towards Stanley around 4.4 miles. You'll see the springs across and down by the river, and the campground across the river too. Continue around the bend a bit to find the entrance and bridge. In the months with better weather, drive across the bridge and back towards the springs, you can park there and walk on down. In the winter, park before the bridge and walk to the springs, its not too far at all and the snow is usually well packed down.
